Today was kick off. I dipped my wheel in the Pacific ocean, said goodbye to my mate Tim and headed off along the coast on the ride of my life. Oregon is beautiful. I rode 48 miles and set up camp early so o could get used to it cook and get a good nights sleep. The hills today were challenging but I dealt with them. The climbs will get steeper soon.

I'm excited for you, Rolf! We're taking Tim's advice and visiting Multnomah Falls today, then heading down to Salem, where we'll stay until Saturday morning. Will track your progress here, and perhaps our paths can cross again around Eugene.
